Good news! These are not your real problem. Below I listed the 3 myths I found about getting clients online.
MYTH #1: “If I build it they(the prospects) will come”
FACT: No matter how good your work is, or how big of a problem you solve; if people don’t know about
it- there’s no transaction!
TRUTH: You need to learn marketing (since yesterday!) In today’s competitive landscape it’s almost impossible to get our clients coming up to us with their wallet open and credit card ready anymore. We have to learn how to “woo” them into our court. And business is really just 2 activity: Innovating & Marketing! Regardless of how great your work is, if you don’t learn how to put it in-front of your prospects they wont know about your existence and they wont transact with you!
MYTH #2: “I need to go after my prospects!”
FACT: Humans want what they can’t have. Runs away when they are chased. The more you chase your clients, the more they run!
…even if what you have is what they want and need! Have you finished a book before and found it life changing so you tried to give it to someone else and 6 months later you asked them about it – they haven’t even got started on page 1(some even lost it!) Why? Because people are usually not ready for your information unless they ask for it!
TRUTH: You need to “woo” them! I don’t know about you, but I don’t like to chase my prospects- I want them to chase me!
MYTH #3: “I can’t have my prospects to chase after me unless I have celebrity status”
FACT: People don’t need a celebrity doctor to cure their fever.
TRUTH: Celebrity status may help, but it’s not a ‘must’ to start getting clients online. What you really need is not a celebrity status, but a great “Alpha Offer”. Have you ever been to a swimming pool, it’s full of guys, and a girl appeared? No matter how unattractive the girl is, she’s bound to collect eyeballs. It’s like putting a lamb in-front of tigers. That’s what you need. An offer so amazing it suck up all the attention in the marketplace. When you have attention, money easily flows to you.
